Donation 2011

We paid for a group of bereaved teenagers from Hope House to have a camping weekend. We financed their equipment and travel as well.

Donation 2010

We donated to a local women's refuge for the children to have days out.

Donation 2009

We paid for over 50 bereaved children from Hope House Building Bridges Scheme to have a day out at Drayton Manor Park. The we continued to finance on an annual basis.

Donation 2009

We financed a Christmas Party for children at North Staffordshire Hospital.

Donation 2008

A large inner city primary school in London got in touch with us and asked for money to help funding for an adventure holiday for year 6 students. Although this trip is available to all students, many cannot afford it so we have paid for 10 pupils to go.

Donation 2008

We heard of a severely autistic 10 year old boy who has a passion for swimming but becomes very distressed when there are other people in the pool. So we have paid for the use of the entire pool for him to go swimming by himself every week for 6 months. We hope that he has a fantastic time

Donation 2008

In April we took all of the children involved with Building Bridges to Drayton Manor Park and also paid for the transport. It was so good to see their smiling faces and we intend to make it an annual event as it was so successful.

Donation 2007

In November we financed a weekend in a cottage in the countryside for a group of bereaved teenagers for Hope House' Building Bridges scheme. They had a wonderful time.

Donation 2007

This year we are donating to the Building Bridges scheme at Hope House in Shropshire. Hope House is a children's hospice and Building Bridges helps the bereaved siblings with counselling and days out and trips away. In December we are financing a trip to a pantomime for them and we have made arrangements to pay for or contribute to all their future excursions. They do such amazing work at Hope House and give such support to not only very sick children, but all their families and bereaved families within the local community. So the Becca Owen Fund is proud to support such a wonderful organisation.

Donation 2006

On September 22nd, we made our first donation to under privileged children.

We handed over a cheque to a local Women's Refuge so that the children there can have a little holiday. We intend to give another donation to them before Christmas as there will almost certainly be new children there by then.

It was very moving to realise that we had actually made a small difference to these poor children whose lives have been traumatic through no fault of their own.

This is just the start. We hope to bring much more happiness to many more children in Becca's memory.
